• Yes, assuming your library offers ebooks. When you borrow a book from the library, it is added to your kindle account and you download it like any other book.

• Yes, as long as your library card is current, you can borrow e-books for this kindle from the library

• Yes you can get books from Library. Some books you buy you can let friends borrow them.

• It works with this one, but unless I'm missing something you need a computer to take the book out and deliver it to the device.

• He would need a computer to take out a book from the library and return it..however, not so with an Ipad. It can both borrow and return to the Kindle. Not sure about how it would work with other kinds of tablets.
