- Answer Hello! On the Kindle, if you press and hold a word you see, you will see options for pronunciation and definitions. Unless you have text-to-speech turned on and have the Kindle connected to a Bluetooth speaker or headphones, it will not read you the word to hear the pronunciation. QuestionMy Kindle was gift to me few years ago. All working perfectly until suddenly I was unable to brighten background to read at night? Is there a replaceable bulb? Or is this Kindle needing to be replaced?

- Answer Hello, Leah! The Kindle Paperwhite will not read your Nook books. The Nook books are a different format than what is compatible with the Paperwhite. The Paperwhite is an e-reader, not a tablet, so there are not apps to download to it. Have a great day!

- Answer Hello! I am not quite sure what you are trying to ask, but you can only have one book open on a page at a time, but you can have multiple downloaded to your device at a time so you can switch back and forth,or if you are connected to Wifi, you do not need to download you and can access from the cloud. - Answer Hi Berry, Your books that have previously been purchased are in the cloud and can be redownloaded. All books are tied to your Amazon account so if they are not on the reader or in the cloud, you can send them to your new device in the manage content and devices menu on your Amazon account settings page! - Answer HI Alisa, The Paperwhite eReader does not have a micro SD card reader. The Paperwhite does offer a 8gb and 32gb storage models. Both of these models can hold thousands of books, magazines, newspaper articles, and other compatible files. I hope this helps.

- Answer Per Kindle for Dummies: Both Macintosh and Windows users can download and transfer Kindle content and personal documents from their computers to their Kindles through the USB connection. When the Kindle is plugged into a computer, it appears as a removable mass-storage device. My opinion, make a hot spot on your phone or go to a McDonalds with free WiFi and download what you need. I think that would be quicker and easier.

- Answer It's recharged via a USB cable. Charging frequency depends upon your use of the device, but it's designed to last weeks. A cable is provided in the box, but it's a common USB cable, so you likely have many of them in your home.

- Answer Because its screen is better for your eyes and you can easily read it in full dark and under the shining straight to the screen sun. After Kindle Paperwhite have never ever think to use tablet or computer screen to read books.

- Answer Look for the free software called “Calibre”. With a little bit of reading of the instructions you can easily convert your EPUB (iPad book format) books to the Kindle (MOBI file format) in a matter of seconds. It is free, and is perfectly legal in case you’re interested.
