The Ryzen 5 3600 is a 6 core/ 12 thread CPU, with a 3.6ghz base clock and a 4.2ghz boost. That is about 30% or so of a performance difference in multicore applications. However, the two have very similar single core clocks, so if you look into overclocking, then you may be able to squeeze more performance per core. Most games are not fine tuned for multicore CPUs, so read up on how your CPU applies to your tasks and see if you need more cores or faster cores.
