“Boosting signal for outdoor wireless music system Hello- I have a Logitech Squeezebox wireless music receiver located to an amplifier located in a garden shed in my backyard. A series do outdoor speakers are wired to that amplifier. The squeezebox receiver is connected to the wifi network router connected to my home network pc. The music signal to my squeezebox constantly drops off apparently due to a weak signal. I have seen several devices advertised to boost WiFi signals but am uncertain which would be the correct type/model for my application. Appreciate your suggestions. Thank you, Mike, Brick, NJ”

Any of the Netgear or Belkin WIFI boosters will work just fine for this application. Get the fastest one available. DO NOT get the cheapest - as it will be too slow.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.All extenders work through the same WIFI standard so it is just a matter of choice. Just make sure you select a unit with enough power to transmit a strong signal so that the audio stream is constant.

Please try again later.Consider trying the Airport Extreme (or for an additional $100-$200 the Time Capsule which adds a wireless 1TB or 2 TB drive; very convenient for automated wireless backups). Check the specs and see that it greatly improves range and data through. I had a similar problem with playing music on my patio, but solved it with this as my base, and my other airport express, etc. set up throughout the house to extend the range of that base unit. Signal outside is now solid. Good luck.
