No not at all get a ac1200 or 1750 AC best buy have sales on them I bought my extender 150 original 119.00 got it for 69.99 two days before that it was 79.99 when I first bought it then I look at best buy website it went to 69.99 so I got reimburse price difference. Go best buy website go deals go outlet try open box or clearance u order on line and pick up from store if in stock otherwise you won't get same price off shelf

We purchased a plan that is $39.99 a month for 60mbps and this works great for us. We do not have cable and watch Netflix and Amazon prime through our Bluray player that is wired directly to our router. Make sure to get one that you have the option to wire things directly to it. I bought everything from Best Buy. Then I have internet through charter but I use my own router I purchased from Best Buy and our is great. Then we got the extended to use which made things better.
