• Manual says it will not. I can attest that it does not have any noticable drain, even in the winter

• I leave my plugged into my Chevy Colorado. I haven't had any battery issues

• That depends on if your car leaves the 12V socket on when the ignition is off. You can test this by plugging something in to the socket (some people refer to it as a cigarette lighter) and turning the car off. If the power remains, then yes, this would slowly draw from your battery. I would also check if you have multiple sockets; every manufacturer is different.
