The fm transmitter is plugged into the car cigarette lighter outlet and you connect via Bluetooth to your phone. The device works by emitting an fm signal to your cars radio. When you first plug it in, you will have to scan for an open or unused fm station. Works great. Audio quality is similar to radio audio.

The roav device is a bit dumb and cancels my phone Bluetooth whenever I am on the phone and the app starts constantly on its own. It is better upgrading the radio from amazon they have cheap radios with modern apps
