Is this speaker water proof null

This unit is IPX7 Waterproof. It has handled over spray while watching the cars and has been left in the shower many times while showering. According to specifications IPX7 should be 'waterproof' for up to 30 minutes in less than 1 meter of water. I wouldn't encourage anyone to dunk it in the lake but what exposure to water we've put ours through it's worked fine.

It's water resistant only so it is NOT recommended to submerge this in water.

I would say it is splash resistant. This is not something you want to take swimming or near any body of water.
