Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've been using it for over two years and though it may be a little quieter than the food saver, it's not so much so that it makes much difference. We have been through at least four Food Savers. I used to go on Long Range fishing trips where I'd come back with literally a ton of fish, and so would my fishing budding. He'd fillet and I'd bag and seal. We would have three food savers because they would overheat and so we'd rotate them. I liked the food saver because it had a cutting blade. We found that the food saver didn't always seal properly. This product has not failed to seal. So there's pros and cons. I like that I can close the lid, push the right button to vacuum and seal and walk away where on the food saver, I would have to press down on the lid so that the sealing elements made better contact. I keep this new one by our toaster and use it often. It's black color goes well with our stainless gadgets unlike the white food saver which I always cleaned and put stored away.
