  • QuestionWill this antenna pick up ESPN channels and Fox News Network?

    Asked by Jimmy.

    • Answer I am not aware of any over the air antenna that will pick up these channels. We receive these channels along with others using the YouTube TV streaming service as we no longer subscribe to cable TV. There are several streaming options that include the channels you named. You may want to search to find the one that has the best mix of channels that you wish to view.

  • QuestionWill this antenna work if it is indoors in a pole barn with metal walls and roof?

    Asked by Hidalgo.

    • Answer It is unlikely that you would receive signals in any building that has both metal walls and a metal roof. That would create what is called a Faraday cage, which is a structure used to eliminate RF signals from entering or exiting an area. The Clearstream 4 Max may be able to receive signals if mounted outside the building, depending on where the building is relative to the towers. • QuestionHow big is your ClearStream 4 Max Indoor HDTV Antenna? Does it need to be adjusted to focus each channel? Can a booster be added to bring in difficult channels?

    Asked by Jack.

    • Answer The ClearStream 4MAX is 17.25" L x 31.5" W x 4.13" D. The width includes the dipoles coming off each side of the antenna. It does not need to be adjusted to receive each channel. You can add a booster (preamplifier) to your setup, but we recommend you install the antenna first without a booster. If you are having difficulties receiving some channels, then you can add a booster. We don't want you to purchase something you may not need. Thanks for sending us a message.

  • QuestionCan you use this along with Directv Satellite to pick up local channels that are missing from Satellite?

    Asked by MrSocks.

    • Answer Yes! By using the diplexer, you can have two different signals exist on the same line. Using the diplexer, connect the ClearStream 4MAX TV antenna to your satellite cable feed line to receive over-the-air and satellite the signals all at once. A diplexer will have 3 connectors. The first is for a feed to all of the TVs in your home. This line may be connected directly to your existing satellite dish, so you will need to remove it and connected to the diplexer then add another short line to your dish. The satellite dish line needs to be connected on the diplexer’s high port and the TV antenna needs to be connected to the diplexer’s low port.

  • QuestionMy home is wired for direct tv. Can I disconnect the satellite dish, and attach this antennae to same dish wire running into house, and plug TVs into cable outlets in different rooms?

    Asked by jtdietz.

    • Answer You can use the same wires that Directv used to wire your house. There is only one wire leaving the antenna therefore you will need a splitter to divide the signal into multiple rooms. If Directv has a splitter installed maybe it might be possible to use theirs. I would have a direct connection first to a TV to establish a signal then I would experiment on Directv setup.

  • QuestionI am a dish subscriber. We just lost all of the ABC channels. My question is how far will this antenna pick up? And how many channels will this pick up? Also do I have to have WIFI?

    Asked by Texasbutterfly.

    • Answer Most of the transmitters we care about are located 20 to 30 miles away. We pick up all the major VHF and UHF channels in our area (about 30), plus more than 50 channels with numbers above 1000. We don't need WiFi to get reception. A few comments. 1. If you have a clear line-of-sight to the TV transmitters, the dual antenna should be adequate. Since we live in a hollow with low hills and trees between our house and the the TV transmitters, we found that the quad antenna is worth the extra cost. We get good reception most of the time. Reception is not so good in heavy rain or snow or on windy days. 2. We also found that using a good quality RG6 quad shielded cable makes a difference. The 'Cable Guy' claims that a RG6 cable has lower loss and reduces susceptibility to interference.

  • QuestionI'd like an over the air antenna to use WITH my Dishnet. How would that hook up be done?

    Asked by countrygal.

    • Answer If your dishnet is connected to your Television through an HDMI input then the Antenna would connect through the Coaxial input on the TV. You would just need to select which input you want to view, Antenna for your Over the Air local station or HDMI for Dishnet.

  • QuestionWill it work in a Densely Wooded Environment. It is necessary for me to use Cable to eliminate POOR Reception at present. Please Post Answer in Your Web Advertisement.

    Asked by Clyde.

    • Answer There are many factors that affect reception. Distance, elevation of broadcast antenna, elevation of your antenna, and how high the hills are in between. I am 30 miles from downtown Austin Tx and picked up 63 stations when I set up my new TV. My antenna is at the top of a 20' mast and receives thru the tops or cedar trees. The only way to really tell is to try it. If it doesn't work, take it back. The higher the better. I called the manufacturer. They were very helpful. They have a way of determining the approxiamate signal strength in at your exact location and can tell you exactly which direction to point the antenna.

  • QuestionI live in a brick building, will this effect the signal

    Asked by Heidi.

    • Answer I live 20 miles north of downtown Austin. My home is constructed of stone. My antenna is indoors on the second floor in my media room and I do not have any problems with obtaining all of the digital over the air channels in the local area.

  • QuestionWhat channels will pick up with this antenna

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer It definitely picks up the locals. Depends on signal. We are surrounded with trees so it only picked up 16. Our friends have the same antenna, they have over 50 channels and stay on the same road. Many of them are double though. I guess there are many variations to signal strength depending on where you put it and where your located.

  • Questionwell work on 4 tv

    Asked by lpyuma.

    • Answer I think you are asking if it will work on 4 Tv's? Or maybe you are asking if it will work on a 4k TV but the answer to both is yes. If you have existing coax cable from a TV provider, it will work with more than one TV. It works beautifully on a 4k TV as well.

  • QuestionCan this antenna be used wirelessly with multiple smart tv's? is there any other equipment required?

    Asked by Art.

    • Answer It can. You will need other equipment as well. You'll need a wireless ATSC tuner such as Tablo, HD Home Run, or Amazon Recast. Then each TV will need a compatible streaming device for your wireless tuner of choice.
