  • QuestionHow do you scan for change

    Asked by Rick.

    • Answer Not sure about what type of change you are referring to. If it is channel line up, that is done with channel scan in your TV. If it is station or transmitter change, there are apps that show transmitters on a map within whatever search radius applies to you along with compass bearing, distance, and other info to "point" your antenna. This antenna is omnidirectional, but the front and rear do have an extended range. I used the app and an accurate compass to point my antenna toward my "sweet spot", and it worked like a charm. Most of the important transmitters are less than 10 miles from me, but am receiving many additional channels up to 100 miles away just as clear as those close to me. Signal strength and quality is lower, but still high enough to get full digital signals. Digital is different from the old analog. Below a certain threshold you will get pixelated or no reception instead of the snowy signals from the older analog type.

  • QuestionThere is an analog antenna in my attic. Can I just replace it with a digital antenna and use the coaxial cable already running to two TV's?

    Asked by Suz.

    • Answer HI Suz! Yes, you can use the existing coax cable with your new antenna. Keep in mind, when you connect a new antenna to your TV, you must rescan the TV for channels using your remote. Your TV tuner locks in on the channels from your previous antenna and once you disconnect the cable, some signal loss will be seen. If you need any assistance with assembly or installation, give us a call at 877-825-5572 and we will be happy to help. Thank you for your question!

  • QuestionI turned on the amplifier, and it still gives me the same results. How does one make the amplifier pick up more channels?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Hi there! Depending on how close you are to the broadcast towers, an amplifier could actually make your reception worse if you are trying to use it at a closer distance. Give us a call at 877-825-5572 and we can analyze your location and surrounding areas to help pinpoint why the amplifier is not making a difference. We are here Monday-Friday to help. Thank you for your question!

  • QuestionHow hard is this to install?

    Asked by Sharon.

    • Answer Not difficult. I installed mine in the attic. I few years ago I installed another one under a porch roof. Research the distance and direction to the signs transmission points and figure out where you will install it before buying. Distance to source could impact which version of antenna you need.

  • QuestionWe have a large rooftop antenna, installed in '92, that works very well. But I want to do better. Can this antenna be used in conjunction with our rooftop antenna to boost the number of channels we receive? Or does it need to work alone?

    Asked by Momof5.

    • Answer Hi there, great question! Using two antennas together may not improve your signal reception. In fact, it could cause signal interference or degradation. Getting a better signal is about positioning, distance to towers, and avoiding obstructions. Let us help you! Please call one of our experts and they will perform a free signal analysis in your area and will recommend how you can get better reception in your area.
