• Most newer laptops have an hdmi port that lets you connect 1 external monitor. Since this monitor has a DVI port, you would need an HDMI to DVI cable or adapter. If you wanted to use 2 external monitors, you would need a universal usb docking station. Then you would use a usb cable from the laptop to the docking station, then the second monitor to the docking station. Some docking stations support more than monitor as well.
