• Per the manual (you do know that all smart people always read the manual, right?) It is recommended that an initial overnight charge is recommended before first use.

• They recommend charging it for 12 to 24 hours but I have noticed that the batteries come fully charged in the box. Never had any issues with the battery.

• UPS arrives charged. There is no need to charge before use. That procedure is only used on a select group of UPS/batteries which are typically not sold retail.
