Yes it will, on Windows 7 and below its managed by the OS. With Windows 10 it's done through Powerchute and you have the option on how many minutes remaining on battery before sending the shutdown command. I've mine set for 10 minutes. So, when I lose power, my PC will run for 3-5 hours, when the unit senses approx 10 life left, it will start the shutdown process for you without your intervention. Hope that helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will, as long as you install the "PowerChute Personal Edition" and plug in USB cable to UPS battery.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will have to tell the software that you want to do that and it allows you to specify how close to battery end you want the shut down to take place
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, the software will begin shutting down once the UPS runs on battery power for the amount of time the user has configured. You can either have the software begin shutdown after the UPS has run on battery for X period of time or shutdown can begin once the UPS reaches a low battery condition.
