“Do I need an UPS? I have a flat panel tv and soundbar plugged into an outlet that, when the air conditioner turns on, I get a momentary blip on the screen. Will a ups prevent this or what do I need?”

Yes...momentarily blips may (and likely do) allow for 'dirty' power to come through. High end electronics are sensitive to the quality of electricity they get. A UPS not only provides for the constant supply of electricity, but acts as a very strong buffer between dirty power and your electronics.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.a power conditioner would work, but i prefer a UPS with power conditioning so that even if your power goes completely out, u can continue to watch TV without a blip (unitl that back up battery runs out of juice)
