• The powerchute will tell you how long the system will run on battery

• This is a battery backup not a system backup. This unit will keep power to your devices if there is a loss of power in your home.

• You're question is about "backup" but you posted your question about a UPS... so its a little confusing. The unit you posted about has a 600 volt-amp capacity and should generally protect a desktop for long enough to shutdown safely in the event of a power outage. If you actually need to ask about data backups, that's a totally different device.

• It can but you have to tell the system to do it. The backing up of your data is not automonous unless you instruct it to do so. Just transfer your user file and you should be able to back up all your data.
