“I need to protect a 50 inch TV & 2 game consoles from surges and provide few seconds of back up power. Do you think this UPS will not be overloaded by these devices or should I get something better ? Any suggestions ?”

Heaven YES , more than enough : ) ; mine is running a 40'' flat screen tv , dvd disc player , all-n-one desktop pc , printer , scanner , a small 6'' fan and my game console

This unit would only support 450 watts of equipment connected to it. You may need to look into our BackUPS Pro line since they would support more wattage. What I would do is look up how much power each of the decides draws. I believe most of the latest gen consoles would draw around 200 watts but we would need the exact model number to look up the info and confirm this. You should be able to find the information online if you wanted to look it up yourself.
