Simple - DON'T LOOK AT IT - Mine is behind my 40" monitor as the former unit was for many years and has never failed to deliver as promised - my desktop PC, the 40" HD monitor and my 13"X19" printer never knew the Boca Raton and now the West Palm Beach end of the world lightning and tornado storms and hurricane had lights flickering and even turning off completely and still the printer was chugging away to completion to a perfect print. The 4 of us never knew a colored light show was going on behind the monitor.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You didn't say what kind of printer, but I suspect this is a laser printer. APC specifically states not to use the Battery supported outlets for laser printers. This is due to the high power drain these printers place on the system. Plug your printer into a "Surge Only" outlet and this problem should go away.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. What side of the UPS is the printer plugged into? Move it to the surge protection only side, particularly if it's a Laser printer. (The fuser could be over loading the UPS) You can also install the Powerchute Personal software from the APC website. Plug the USB signaling cable into USB. This will you to see the status and warnings from the UPS.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Thank you for your inquiry. If the UPS is showing the alarm when the printer runs likely the printer is overloading the UPS. We usually don't recommend connecting printers to our units because they can overload the UPS like you are seeing. I recommend at least moving the printer to the surge only side. If the issue still persists when the printer is connected to the surge only side I recommend moving it off the UPS completely. Please do not hesitate to contact an APCbySchneider support team if you need any further assistance. We offer email and chat services through our support site.
