Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't see why it would not work. It would probably only do it a couple of times due to the power pulled. You would need to mount it close to where the opener plugs into the outlet.

This is actually the smallest of the battery backups I've seen on the market, so if opening the garage door is what you're trying to do, I'd recommend at a minimum going with the largest one available. Unfortunately your best solution is an automatic backup generator similar to those made by generac.

The BN450M was designed for use with home computer set ups and were not specifically designed for use with a garage door opener. It may make sense to contact the garage door manufacturer to see if they have any recommendations.
