Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, it is possible to use this Back-UPS with your HDTV. However, you will just want to check the specs for your television to ensure this unit is appropriately sized for your equipment. The BX1300G is rated for 780 watts and 1300 VA. Please also note that this unit provides a stepped approximated sine wave while on battery power. This is not an issue for standard IT equipment, but you will want to see if your TV requires a pure sine wave or not.

Computers, NAS Arrays, cable box, game console, network routers/switches, any electronicly-powered musical instrument, televisions. Absolutely everything that has value to you. Not only will this condition the power so you have more reliable operation from these devices, but when that lightning strike occurs, or the power-outtage occurs, you have no disruption for at least enough time to shut things down safely, or ride through short-term outtages. An uninterruptable power supply is the most cost-effective day-to-day insurance you can have because not only can it save you from inconvenience, it can also save you from catastrophe. Sure, home-owners insurance will replace things-- but in the meantime, you're down and out, whereas with a UPC, your outside cost is the cost of the UPC itself.

It's nice that when the lights flicker or go out, we can continue watching the program without interruption. If the outage becomes extended, it's important to pay attention to how much battery life is left and not leave it until too late.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is no reason why you couldn't. You would get another layer of protection from power surges and flickers. On the other hand, if your power goes out, will you be a lot happier if you can get 15 minutes further before you lose your TV (real time depends on how many components--and power draw for each one-- that are connected to the battery back up, as well as how healthy the battery is)?
