“I have this unit in a nearly impossible place to get to due to space restrictions on board the vessel. Every time i switch from shore power to generator the beeping goes off and wont stop until i am able to crawl back there and shut it off. avoidable?”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you're getting a constant, solid tone (the red Overload LED will be illuminated), you're over capacity and just getting surge protection. Should consider removing some devices. If it's other beeping, review this guide to figure it out: http://www.apc.com/us/en/faqs/FA158827/ On this particular model I believe you can disable the warning tone from the front panel, can't recall details, review the owners manual.
