The replacement batteries from APC are over half the cost of the unit with shipping, "they are heavy" but I never got that far mine burned up after 3 weeks Back to BB I am using my old one as strictly a surge suppressor now I just cancel the battery dead warning after a power failure when I restart. I may get a deep cycle 12V marine battery and put it in a battery box to regain backup capabilities. There are videos on Youtube that show you how to do this.

Please try again later.look on the net for deals out of state . i have paid $ 35.00 to 45.00 us for a replacement always ask for 30% off from the manufacture or other retailer. these batteries are way over priced as you know but dosn"t cost you a dime to ask for a deep discount.
