QuestionI always encase my iPad in an otterbox or other similar case, will the pencil work with a case on?

- Answer I have mine in a Zugu case. It has a slot to accommodate the pencil charging. If the case does not specifically support pencil charging then it probably won’t work.

- Answer This does not have cellular capability. I connect to the internet when there is no available Wi-Fi enabling the hotspot feature on my iPhone & connect via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. This works perfectly & I don’t have to pay extra for monthly cell service for iPad & initial cost of device was less.

- Answer If you purchase a cellular enabled iPad that is either unlocked, or for use with the AT&T service, then yes you can use internet anywhere you get a cell signal that is powerful enough to support data. I drive from SLC to Great Falls MT from time to time, as well as to Las Vegas, and both have dead zones where the most you can hope for is sending a text message. If you're in a 3G area you might be restricted by AT&T as to how much data you can access or push.
