QuestionHey geniuses -- My wife is a Mac user and we just upgraded her from her 5y old MacBook to this iMac, and it is SLOWER than her old book. How is this possible? Is this normal or something we can try to fix before returning?

- Answer It's unfortunately normal. The Apple Support technicians I spoke to about it mentioned that this iMac has a new form of magnetic memory that takes longer than the traditional, not to mention, there is only 8 GB of RAM. I couldn't believe how slow it was!

- Answer Yes, you can hook up another monitor. There is a video on YouTube that tells you the extra port you need to connect to the back of the Mac and then you connect the new monitor to that port.

QuestionFor those who want to know the measurements of this unit. The total unit size is 20 1/2 " long and 15" high. The actual screen is 18 1/2" long and 10 1/2" high. The stand adds 3" to the total height.

QuestionI need to pull everything from my old Mac onto the new one. If open box buy purchased, will it still have the normal "first time" start up screen prompting this option or will it not since someone else has already powered it up most likely?

- Answer Yes, it will have the factory settings. An open box items are almost the same as a factory sealed items. They usually go through the detailed inspection by BestBuy professionals before it goes on the shelf.

- Answer No it does not come with a touch screen. You can however connect a suggested iPad below *to it and use it separately in sidecar though. With : iPad using iPadOS 13 iPad Pro: all models iPad (6th generation) or later iPad mini (5th generation) iPad Air (3rd generation) Additional requirements Both devices must be signed in to iCloud with the same Apple ID using two-factor authentication. To use Sidecar wirelessly, both devices must be within 10 meters (30 feet) of each other and have Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Handoff turned on. Also make sure that the iPad is not sharing its cellular connection and the Mac is not sharing its Internet connection. - Answer Probably not. The different operating systems use different kinds of programs and they are usually not compatible. Which is why we have a PC in our house along with a Mac, to perform different tasks. PC is so business oriented, and I feel Mac is more for the creative stuff.
