The i5 3.7GHZ iMac with the Radeon 580X will play all recent games, but the frame rates will vary depending on the game and resolution factors. Because of the limited air cooling in the iMac, expect it to get VERY hot for extended game play. Build or buy a PC for better graphics and cooling if you are a serious desktop gamer. Otherwise, this iMac does play games quite well for the casual gamer.

Really any intel or AMD system with decent graphics can play games at what level is another matter. Best to get or build a system that's a bit over the requirements of the game if multiple games go by the one with the highest requirements for the best gameplay.
