“I need the cable with the Magnetic end for my Mc Book Pro. My dog chewed the cable in two and the Magnetic end is lost. Can I open the charger and replace the cable it is about 6 feet long. if I have to purchase the whole unit I will or just cable?”

No, the cable is not user replaceable. You will need to purchase a new adpater.

I can work on some electronics, but I don't trust myself with electricity and power adapters. I recommend simply spending the $80 to get a genuine Apple product.
