Yes they will. I was able to connect my original AirPods so I don't see why the Pros wouldn't. Just choose the bluetooth output option and connect.

That said, there are a lot of cheaper EarPods/headphone options for this purpose. Not that this wouldn't work, it' s just a lot of money for tiny EarPods that could get lost in couch cushions, etc. My personal use of AirPods is about a half hour a day. And that use they don't seem to be wearing out after over a month of use. But I'd look at MPOW and other, cheaper full - ear covering options that might suit you better for TV viewing. If possible, get some alcohol wipes and a friend and borrow some AirPods pro to see if you like them for long duration. For me, itchy ears hits about 30 min to a hour into any pod type design. So for me they're for exercise or lunchbreak at work. Good luck in your search!

We then connected the AirPods to the phone through the app. Then I select private listening on the app. Then I can listen to the TV through the airpods. I can control the TV volume with the volume controls on the phone. It works great!
