“Are both pods in place nececssary to make phone calls or can someone use them one at a time ?”

• You can listen to music, talk on the phone, talk to Siri, or do anything with one or both headphones. If you’re listening to music with both and take one out it will automatically pause the song. But, if you hit play again it will play in the one ear that you still have the headphone in. The AirPod detects whether its in your ear and plays out of that one (or two)

• You can use just 1 airpod and that apples for all 3 models of the Airpods

• You can have either one in for phone calls. Just like the OG AirPods.
