“can i use these as an ear piece to my apple phone and not for music? the ear pieces ive been using for years only last a few months and wrap around my ears..I would like to use these but it would be for daily use to listen to phone calls etc..”

Yes. It could improve the quality of the phone call on your end with the Active Noise Reduction. I have not been on the other end of an AirPod Pro phone call, so I can't speak to the quality, but I have used it a lot as a hands free device and have received no complaints or "repeat that last" type of comment, so I'm being understood clearly.
