Yes the is an option for when they are connected to your phone you can select the live listen icon, which is a icon with an ear on it.

They are not technically hearing aids, but they can boost the sound around you but there is a lot of ambient noise when doing this. Basically, anything your microphone picks up you will hear amplified.

Update to my last answer. When you turn noise cancellation off it seems to amplify the sounds around you and allows you to still hear your music and the sounds around you so in a strange sort of way maybe yes to your question
