“Bought Apple Earpods Pro -- It appears that each earpod only lasts for about 5 hours -- this is only using them for telephone calls. I put one in at 8 am and by 1:15 pm it telling me it has 15% battery. My other earpods lasted longer. Is this normal?”

If you are using the noise canceling the whole time then yes that is normal. They should last about 4 hours with noise canceling on because it takes more energy to constantly monitor your noise levels.

Noise cancelling and transparency mode use more battery. Turn these features off and it should be about the same battery life as the previous AirPods.

if you have ANC (active noise cancellation) active, that will reduce the battery life by about an hour.
