“If you have two pairs of Airpods (ie, I have my airpods and my gf has her own pair of airpods), can we both listen to the music playing off the same iphone? We want to listen to the same song together, but don't want to split/share individual earbuds.”

I don’t believe this will work unless your music streaming device will allow multiple bluetooth devices to be receiving the music.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, the phone has to transmit 2 separate signals to each airpod as it is. Even Bluetooth 5.0 doesn’t have enough bandwidth to transmit to 4 separate speakers.
