Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you are an Android user, Google added 'unknown tracker alerts' for Android 6.0 and newer users, so if an AirTag is tracking you, your Android phone should let you know without having to install a separate Android app from the Google Play Store. I pulled this answer from zdnet.com In my personal experience I accidentally left one of my air tags in a bag that my wife later used and her google pixel did alert her of an unknown air tag that was tracking her. Hope this helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. PSA: there are native functions and apps available to scan for unknown tracking devices traveling with you. ***Some require manual scanning for devices.*** If you have any reason to suspect that you are being tracked, please safely read up on how to locate, identify, and disable such devices. This may require using someone else's device, a computer at a public library, calling a DV hotline from an unrelated phone, etc. With at least some devices, the owner's device can't be nearby and the tracker must travel with you (similar moving location) for 10+ minutes. If you find an unknown tracker, act quickly to gather any information that can help identify the owner then disable or block it (or at least remove it from your location). Depending on your situation, you may or may not want to report it to authorities. At some undefined point in the future, there will purportedly be cross-platform and cross-manufacturer compatibility. That would make it much simpler to receive notifications. Here's hoping it comes sooner rather than later.
