“Looks like they’ve tried real hard to COPY the TILE but excluded feet of range and all IOS users 11 iPhone and up. Who wants such a LIMITED device when the TILE WORKS up to 500 ft then a full community helps they send replacement batteries I have “3” !”

Still different products. Tile is device-agnostic and works only with Bluetooth. AirTags also use the ultra wideband chip in iphone 11 and 12 for extra precision. I think the USP is that it doesn't require a 3rd party app, so every iPhone is potentially able to track the location of your AirTag if it goes missing further than your iPhone range as they walk past it.

It uses nearby devices in Find my network to anonymously give you its location and even that is encrypted. Battery replacements are easy to find at about any store that sells coin cell batteries.
