Can this Ipad be used in place of a cell phone! null

There are apps you can download that allow you to send and receive calls on the ipad. Some include messages.

No, it ties into your iPhone so you can ANSWER a phone call that comes in on your iPhone. I have not been able to dial out on my iPad even though it is tied to my iPhone. I need to explore that option.
