• A:Answer Virgin Mobile, being a CDMA provider, only allows Virgin mobile-branded handsets on its network - They do not offer a "bring your own phone" scenario. The only compatible handsets are from Verizon or Sprint, and some Sprint handsets can be activated on Virgin, but only if carrier unlocked and with a clean ESN record. Your best bet might be to get an unlocked GSM phone and look at one of the MVNO/Pre-paid providers that offer BYO Phone SIM cards.

Q: QuestionCan this be used with T-mobile?Can I buy this as a back up phone and use it with T-Mobile? Can I bring it to Best Buy and have them unlock it for me?

• A:Answer This phone can be used with T-Mobile, but it would have to be a T-Mobile rep either at Best Buy or at a T-Mobile location who would unlock it and set it up. The other way to do this would be to purchase a SIM card through T-Mobile and set up service.
