“Instead of using sprint, can I use AT&T? Ok so my phone screen stopped working but apple won't replace the screen because it has 2 or 3 chunks missing from the screen. My phone has worked perfectly fine until it started getting black lines on the screen then turning off. It did this a few times then it just never turned back on. Apple said I have to buy a new phone. So will this be the price or do I need to pay 300 for a whole new phone? Not to mention, I'm on a 2 year plan with AT&T. Please respond.”

Unfortunately yes. Your AT&T phone won't work on Sprint dues to the network type, GSM versus CDMA. Also unfortunately, the insurance plan for iPhones are ridiculous when it comes time to use it for replacement costs. Any non iPhone phone usually has a $50 deductible to replace it if needed, but Apple charges more to the carriers thus the cost is passed down to the consumer. At one point, Apple claimed to have lost money on the iPhone, but that so called lost money is more than made up for when you have an insurance claim since you'll be getting a recertified device, not brand new, thus saving Apple money by simply cleaning and replacing parts on other broken devices and not having to remake the entire phone again.
