• You should be able to use one of the new Edge / Next programs, but it depends on your carrier. The new programs today make it easier to get a new phone -- less (or nothing) out of pocket, then they lower your monthly bill by almost as much as you end up paying monthly for the phone, so it's a wash. You just have to trade in any existing smart phone, so you will be in good shape and set up to replace it every year if you want.

• Not sure if you can still do this. I switched mine a while ago but only got a little value. We also switched the i5 and got a terrific value on that one. Good luck !
