What hods it shut null

The case, like most other phone cases is simply sized to fit the phone, you pry it open a bit, insert the phone and then it stays in place.

It is just a snap on back cover for the phone. You just click the phone in place.

It doesn't shut. The front is open

It just attaches to the back of the phone.
