• Yes... for the reasons you specified... iPhones 6, 6s, 7 and 8 can use the same case; however, they changed/moved the camera lense in the 7. So, Apple did not make a change in their iPhone 7 cases for the new iPhone 8. I have no idea about the “plus” models, though!
