We use this to transfer goPro videos to the iPhone. I would think that would be very similar.

Please try again later.You can I use this for on the go when I don’t have the time to use WiFi and transfer files and video to my iPhone I use it for drone footage and my Canon dslr Camera take the card out and plug it into your phone and chose what ever you wanna down load . So happy I bought this Apple Sd card reader !!!

I do take videos on my small pocket size canon and when I download them to mi iPad I'm able to watch the videos on my iPhone using gloogle photos app, and this is because I don't have the same iCloud account on my devices.
