• Yes! I use it on my Iphone 7 and Ipad pro that have only lightning adapter slots and it works great with the Duo link app.

• We use it to move pics from sd to ipad air. Can't imagine why it wouldn't do the same to Mac Pro.

• No, the lightening port and the USB-C port are not interchangeable. Therefore you can not use the lightening accessory with the USB-C port on your MacBook.
