You would have to buy Office for Mac separately. macOS gives you access to Pages, Numbers, and Keynote which are Apple programs similar to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, but if you're going to want to work with .docx, .xlsx, and .pptx files (Office files) regularly and/or interact with other people using Office, then you're better off buying a copy of Office for Mac.
