A:AnswerI feel like the laptop is aimed at different kind of customers, tablet is a media consumption device, unless you get a surface pro. But the macbook can run full programs as opposed to the ipad
A:AnswerA bit over 230gb. Mac OS Sierra is about 17~18gb on the MacBook Pro I purchased 2 weeks ago (promptly updated). Of course, that does not include the apps already on the system. With pre-installed apps, you're looking at something like 220gb (+/- 5gb). There are quite a few gigs which can be freed up there.
A:AnswerThere are a couple of different companies that offer mini docking stations that plug into the two thunderbolt 3 ports that change to 2 USB, HDMI, 2 card readers. Belkin offers one.
A:AnswerYes you can use an external mouse. Due to the limitation of the USB-C connector, I’d personally recommend using a Bluetooth wireless mouse. Therefore you won’t need a port to connect to.
A:AnswerThe 24GB used is software and the operating system that had to be implemented in order for your computer to run. You can uninstall some of the Apple programs such as Garage Band or iBooks if you don't have the use for them. There's a 512GB version (but can be a little costly compared to 256GB). I recommend buying an external hard drive if you have a lot of files you use or having your cloud storages utilized.
A:AnswerI just bought the MacBook Pro and AppleCare this month and I'm grateful I bought the AppleCare. Somehow right after purchasing my computer thru the firewall got all screwed up adware and malware it was almost unusable. Apple doesn't need the anti-virus software BestBuy was recommending be installed. AppleCare called me- they noticed the activity and walked me through what was going on. I know a lot of people look to other possibly cheaper solutions but Apple was on top of my problem I could never have done myself or find a friend who could- it got infected and took them two hours online screen access to rid my new computer of this stuff. Buy the AppleCare. There's a reason they stand behind their product, especially these days.
