“I won't be doing much drawing. Will the Apple Pencil act as a stylus also? I'd like to get one to replace the large-tipped stylus or my finger when making selections or moving items. Will it do this job also?”

I have found that it works with just about everything on the iPad. I haven’t had a problem using it as a stylus.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes this will work for that purpose (only for your iPad Pro or 2018 model) They also sell mesh caps that can attach to the back of the pencil to use as a stylus that way as well and that can be used on any device. All on how you’d like it ;)
