The new Multi-Touch subsystem in the new iPad 9.7" and iPad Pro gives Apple Pencil striking capabilities alongside pixel perfect precision. Using incredibly sensitive pressure and tilt sensors, Apple Pencil instantly recognizes when you are pressing harder or shifting its angle. So you can vary line weight, create subtle shading, and produce a wide range of artistic effects — just like with a conventional pencil.
Q: Do you HAVE to use an Apple Pencil on your iPad Pro or will any type of stylus do?
A: No you do not have to use the pencil. I have tried my iPad Pro with other stylus and they worked. The other stylus weren’t as responsive but effective.
Q: Does the apple pen only work with the iPad Pro?
A: The pencil is not exclusive to the ipad pros anymore! It also works with the 2018 6th generation ipad 9.7".
Q: What's in the box ? Apple website shows : Apple Pencil, Lightning adapter, and extra tip.
A: Just bought one at Best Buy and it comes with an extra tip, the pencil with removable cap and a lightning adapter so you can use your Iphone charger to charge it if you wish.
Q: Is apple pencil 2nd generation will work with IPad 9.7 inch (latest model)?
A: I bought IPad 6th today and Apple Pencil 2nd gen. Before I opened pencil I checked Apple website and it says it's not compatible. 6th Gen IPad only works with 1st gen pencil. Will be returning the pencil unopened. Hope this helps, as I had the same question.
Q: Is this pen compatible with the ipad 6th generation?
A: Yes it is. I have the latest IPad (6th Generation)! It works great.
A: Apple covers the pencil for a year. Keep the box for the serial number because they will need it to look up your purchase date.
