No you don't necessarily need it. It's mostly if you want to do art on said iPad.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It is mostly used for drawing apps. My daughter uses it for high school art. If you plan on doing writing on the iPad it would be useful, but in my opinion you don’t need it unless you are seriously into art.
