“Can I just swap my T-Mobile SIM card from an android phone?”

That should work as long as the SIM card in the Android phone is the same kind that the iPhone uses. Both probably use a Nano SIM card.

Yes, you should be able to switch your sim card over since this phone is GSM unlocked. You still might want to ask T-Mobile if your sim card is IMEI specific, it probably is not but just to be safe you might want to ask them before you purchase a new phone.
