Put your iTunes in the cloud and then you can pull it down from anywhere with Apple TV, without any additional monthly expense. Only expense is additional space that might be needed in your I cloud account.

The other way is iTunes Match, which I pay $25/year for. ITunes Match saves all your music, no matter where you got it from and saves it to icloud. You can stream your music from all your apple devices without using the device storage or you can download your songs on them. You should also be able to airplay from your iphone or ipad. Maybe check the settings.

When you log in the first time, as long as you use your same iTunes account everything will stream through the Apple TV. All your games well some, but all your music and movies you have through Apple will play.
