Apple Tv 4K has Dolby vision and is the hub for Apple HOmekit products. If you do not have apple products you are probably fine with the fire cube. With that being said, if you have a high quality television like an OLED or a new Samsung Qled, Dolby vision looks so much better than HDR10 with 4K resolution.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your photo and music library would show up on your Apple TV if you have either. Other than that not a huge reason to get one if you don’t want to spend the money.

So one thing that I really, really like about the 4K Apple TV that I don't think the Fire TV/Cube has is the screensaver mode. When I host get-to-together I will play music through the Apple TV and let the screensaver run. Everyone always stares mesmerized at my 4K TV screen because the screensavers are in 4K and look brilliant. You can customize how often the screensavers update. If this interest you, Google some of the locations. I also have Sonos speakers throughout my house for multi-room listening. A handful of months ago, Apple and Sonos partnered up and now you can listen to content on your Apple TV through all of your Sonos speakers using AirPlay. I love that feature. I did have a Fire TV stick and I felt like there was too much of a delay when the remote would send a signal to the FireTV. I also didn't like the layout of the operating system. That might be different with the Cube. I just know the Apple TV remote works immediately and seamlessly. The OS is also laid out well and is user-friendly. I also think that if you have an iPhone you can't mirror or share content from your phone to the Cube. If that is true, knowing you have an iPhone...that should be a big deciding factor for going with the Apple TV. I hope that helps you make your decision. I am a big fan of Apple TV if you can't tell.
